Meet Sydney.

The Ultimate Flower Girl.

Hi! My name is Sydney, a nature lover who has lived in Minnesota the majority of my life—minus those years in North Dakota for college.

While working in social media and creative strategy for many years, I found peace and tranquility in putting together floral arrangements for friends in my free time. As my talent and demand grew, I came to the realization that I had the potential to become a wedding and event floral designer. Combining my passion for fine art, astrology, botany, storytelling, and sustainability in a truly unique way is what makes up Cosmos Florals. And in 2022 I officially started my design studio.

At Cosmos Floral, I create designs that reflect the individuality of my clients by incorporating color stories and personalized bloom selections. I strive for my designs to be more than just flowers—they are one-of-a-kind works of art that reflect the beauty and complexity of nature.

Not only do I want my work to tell a story for my clients, I want to be as sustainable as possible in my work. Which is why I prioritize sourcing locally grown flowers from some of the best farms in the area. In addition to working with local flowers, I don’t design with floral foam—a toxic, non-biodegradable material. Read more about Cosmos Floral’s sustainability efforts below.

Bringing the Beauty of the Cosmos to every design.

At Cosmos Florals, we care about more than just the stars. We also care about our planet and people, which is why we have incorporated these sustainable practices into our floral business:

Locally Sourced

We prioritize locally grown flowers from Minnesota and Midwestern farmers to reduce our carbon footprint when in season. Out of the local growing season, we prioritize US grown flowers and foliage.

Foam Free Designs

We don’t use any floral foam in our designs. If you’ve ever seen flowers in plugged into a wet green chunk of foam, that’s floral foam—which is toxic. Floral foam breaks down into micro-plastics and ends up in our water ways, which then impacts living things that survive off of that water way (native flora, fish, other wildlife, and even us).

Recycling + Composting

We recycle and compost as much of our waste materials as possible. At the end of an event, any flowers that can’t be donated or repurposed elsewhere, we compost them. Packaging is reused as much as possible, or recycled when possible.

Non-toxic

We prioritize flowers that are in season and grown without chemicals. We don’t use any additional chemicals in our designs to reduce the amount of chemicals that end up in our water ways.

No Faux

You won’t see any faux floral in your designs ever. And along those lines, we won’t design with painted or dyed floral. We believe that the colors that come naturally are enough to create stunning pieces of art.
